One thing to keep in mind before you decide to do this look is to make sure that your brows are neat and groomed. Monique has very pretty, very neatly groomed brows. This isn’t hard to do. You can find information on eyebrow grooming online. It only takes a little bit of effort on your part to find the way that makes your eyes look most attractive.

First of all, you need a dark brown and white eyeshadow. You will also need a dark brown eyeliner and mascara. The last thing that you need is a neutral lip color with a tiny bit of sparkle.

Sweep the brown eyeshadow onto your lid and up into your crease. From the outermost corner, drag the color upwards at a 30 degree angle towards the ends of your eyebrows. Fall short about 1/4th of an inch. Above that, use the white eyeshadow very lightly from the crease upwards as a highlight. Using your brown liner, line your bottom lash line and waterline thinly. Then, proceed to line your top lid. The last step for the eyes is to use your mascara on both your top and bottom lashes. For your lips, simply put on your lip color and voila! You’re done.

I bought this product from a Sephora store last September. I am newer to makeup, so this was a pretty steep purchase, but I found it to be a well worthwhile one. I rub my eyes a lot, subconsciously. I was looking for something that would help to keep my eyeliner and eyeshadow on throughout the rubbing. I saw this and jumped at it.

I like the packaging. It is rather shiny and looks a bit like a genie bottle, which as a new makeup user was one of the first things that attracted me to the packaging.

The applicator is like that of a lip gloss applicator, only it is located inside the container. This made the application of the eyeshadow primer ten times easier than I would have expected.

Not only did it go on good, but it works amazingly. My eyeliner stays on a lot easier, without any rub-away days or any other issues. It also made things a bit shinier for whatever reason. Instead of my usual time, this Primer Potion made my eyeliner last for about four hours longer than it was before. For someone who doesn’t rub their eyes, it would probably last much, much longer than it did for me.

I will continue to buy this product. It is well worth the money and well worth my time. It may be a little bit more money than most products, but the benefits were worth it to me. I’d recommend this to almost anyone!

You will need: NYC Retro Red Lipstick, NYC Smooch Proof Long Wearing Lip Color in Rebel (483A) , a good clear lip gloss (if you don’t want to use the gloss that comes with the lip color), coral eyeshadow, powder highlighter, liquid eyeliner in black, and grey eyeliner.

Lips: Apply Retro Red or similar lip stick with a lip brush. It shouldn’t be nearly as intense as it is in the tube for this look. Take the Rebel lip color and layer over top. Let dry. You should have a nice pink very similar to the one Katy is wearing. Next, take the clear lip gloss and layer on top for shimmer.

Eyes: Use coral eyeshadow only on top lid. You can use a skin colored neutral above that, but make sure the coral only goes to the crease and no further. Apply a thick line of eyeliner on your top lid, a little over 1/8th of an inch thick. Wing it out, but instead of going horizontally, go at an 45 degree angle upwards. Use pictures if needed.

Face: Do your foundation how you do it normally. You may want to add a LITTLE contouring and bronzer, but make sure that you don’t look orange. Then, take your highlight powder and use it in a U-shape under the eyes. Feel for your cheek bone to use as a guide. Then blend. You may want to take the side closest to your nose downwards a little bit, but not until you touch your nose. Use a skin tone powder over top to take away a little bit of the glow, but not all of it. Afterwards, stick on a pair of large Hollywood style glasses and go out on the town!

You will need: dark brown eyeshadow, black eyeshadow, black eyeliner, black mascara, and a berry colored lipstick.

First of all, you need to feel out the shape. This means that you need to take your finger and start at where your crease is. If you feel your eye socket, follow it downward until you feel the hollow on the side of your eye, by the outer corner. This is a guideline for your makeup.

Next, take your dark brown eyeshadow. Apply it all over your lid up to your crease. Take it at the corner of your eye, and angle it at a forty five degree angle. Go outward a centimeter or two. From where the line of eyeshadow is, start to blend it upwards. Follow this line down until halfway into your lid. Stop. Then take your brown eyeshadow and go under your eyes, thickly.

Take your black eyeshadow and layer it on top of your lid and into your crease. Remember where that little hollow is? Go into that with the eyeshadow and fill the hollow in. Take the eyeshadow and from the hollow, drag it in under your eyes. Let it taper from the outer corner inwards. It should stop about midway under your eye.

Take your eyeliner and line your bottom waterline. Apply mascara to both sets of lashes. (If you want to use falsies, by all means do so.)

Next take your berry lipstick and put it on your lips. It should be a matte color.

If you’ve ever seen young punk artist Avril Lavigne, then you may have wondered how exactly to achieve some of her looks. The one that was chosen for this tutorial is more wearable then most.

You will need: black mascara, black eyeshadow, nude pink eyeshadow, orangey-pink shine lipstick, and black eyeliner.

First, you need to feel out where you’re going to put your makeup. This may seem a bit odd, but it’s much easier than it seems. In this style, she is wearing eyeshadow that is shaped as it does outside of her eyes. The shape can be felt out using your eye socket. Start at your crease, and then slowly move outward with your finger. Feel that little hollow on the outer corner of your eye? This is where you want your eyeshadow to extend out to. Make sure to try and keep it in that shape.

Apply your black eyeshadow on your lid, up to your crease. Then take it at the corner of your eye and begin to extend it. Be really careful to keep it within the little hollow mentioned before. Then bring it back to your eye at the bottom, sloping in to the lash line. Go across the lash line thinly to give a smoky effect. Then apply the nude pink from the crease upwards. Make sure to gently blend the two, but to keep the black in the crease.

Take your eyeliner and line both your top lid’s lash line, thinly, and your bottom waterline. You can tightline (line the top waterline) if you wish.

Use your mascara next. Top and bottom lashes.

For your lipstick, use an orange-pink color. Think like a peach with a grapefruit’s insides type of tint. This look doesn’t use lip gloss. The lip color needs to have a lot of shine.

After that, voila! You can use a warm, tannish-pink blush to add a bit of warmth to this look if you wish. After that, you’re done!

This pop star may be taking care of babies now, but that hasn’t detracted from her style by any means. In fact, Madonna’s makeup look is very simple—great for a mom or grandma on the go.

First, you’ll need black liquid eyeliner, thick false lashes (no sparkles or other embellishments. They should look somewhat natural…), peachy pink lipstick, clear gloss, a natural blush tone, brown eyeliner, and black mascara.

Put on your foundation as usual.

Take your liquid liner and begin to apply it to the top lid. Start back about 1/5th of the way up your eyelid away from your tear duct. Make the line about 1/8th of an inch thick. Do not wing it!

Next take your brown eyeliner and line your bottom lash line. Smudge it. Make sure that your waterline is not lined.

Use black mascara on both your top and bottom lashes (Madonna’s bottom lashes are almost always visible.). Then apply your false lashes according to the directions. (Remember to make sure your glue is tacky before applying it and also that tweezers can make application easier for those who have trouble with their natural lashes getting in the way.

For the lips, apply your peachy pink lipstick color and then apply the gloss overtop.

Last is the blush. Madonna’s blush is very subtle, but it is there. Using your natural looking blush color, very lightly sweep in the apples of your cheeks backwards.

Other ideas: If you want a different look, try using a different colored liquid liner. It’s up to your how dramatic you want this look to be. You can also opt for a different color mascara if you find black to be way too harsh.
