MAKEUP FOR MEN, SPRING, SUMMER TIPS 2010

More and more men are becoming conscious with their appearance and hygiene. It is safe to say that they almost at par with women when it comes to skin care. Years ago, makeup was off limits for men. Today, some men also apply makeup to even out those skin blemishes and imperfections. There will always be a difference with how men and women do things, and the same goes for makeup. Cosmetics may seem a little too feminine for the men to apply but with careful observation and proper application you will see that it can be an essential factor in a man’s life too. A number of simple but highly significant steps must be considered in order for makeup to work for men.

Having a clean skin is the first step. You can exfoliate your skin from dead cells when you take a bath. Use a toner afterwards to minimize the pores and prevent oiling throughout the day. When you have dry skin, apply a small amount of moisturizer; but if you have oily skin, use an oil control formula instead. Use a concealer to hide skin imperfections that include dark circles, scars and acne. The color of the concealer should be close to your skin tone.

When applying foundation after the concealer, carefully put on a thin coat and blend with the end of your fingers. A loose powder may be needed and be sure you do not put on too much as it will make the makeup visible.
