The lovely actress Eva Mendes looked absolutely lovely on July 25th as she launched her new home furnishings collection “Vida by Eva Mendes” at the super department store Macy’s Herald Square. In keeping with the theme of the event she wore a retro-style rose floral print halter dress with a fitted waist and full skirt. The exaggerated size of the red rose design in contrast with the pristine white background was the perfect balance of style and grace that was the focus of the event.

Eva Mendes wears her golden brown hair in a simple long style, parted in the middle. To avoid a drab appearance she carefully used gold highlights to add depth and interest to her hair color. This layered cut was curled loosely at the ends where it gracefully embraced her shoulders giving her the “girl next door” look while at the same time was elegant and inviting. Tucking her hair behind her ears placed full attention on her beautiful oval facial shape, accenting her eyes and smile.

Her makeup also played a big role in the success of this look; her eyes were accented with full lash mascara, while her cheekbones and lips took their cue from the red color of her dress. Eva Mendes finished her look with simple accessories; gold dangle earrings, open toe white pumps and a marvelous turquoise ring worn on her index finger. For an event that was specifically geared for the public, Eva Mendes choose a hairstyle and wardrobe that was comfortable and classy.
